Filinvest Hospitality Group hosts its first-ever golf invitational tournament

MIMOSA. The only course in the country where the legendary Tiger Woods – in his prime – played, albeit in an exhibition, is fast regaining its premium status among the Philippines’ best. Thanks to the Filinvest Hospitality Group (FHG), a name as legendary in the leisure and hospitality industry – think: Crimson Hotels & Resorts, Quest Hotels & Resorts, and Timberland Highlands Resort.

On August 17, FHG treated select top corporate accounts and golfing afficionados to an indulgent first-ever golf invitation tournament at the newly renovated 18-hole Acacia Course of iconic Mimosa Plus Golf Course. And the response was awesomely a golf day like no other! The challenge of the course with its uniquely refashioned green grass, additional sand traps and spruced up fairways; exciting raffle prizes, sumptuous food at the clubhouse’s Baker J Café, the camaraderie – all factoring in.

“We wanted to bring something new to Clark and add better value for this area in Northern Luzon. We want Mimosa Plus to be an anchor for all these and we are committed to continuously improve… and a big part of this is the Mimosa Plus Golf Course,” shared James Montenegro, FHG country manager.

Fiercely passionate about golf himself, Mr. Montenegro has a visionary leadership that has fuelled FHG to forge forward without qualms and with an earnest dedication to its local clientele.

“We are moving full force into tourism development. We build more hotels and going full speed ahead if not paralleled to the country’s tourism plan. Having the same core value to serve our guests from the heart,” he said.

Currently, FHG is taking steps to light up some parts of golf course for night golf and 48 bay driving range to be launched early next year – master strokes of to making Mimosa even notches higher-than-high.

“The owners and I would like to thank you all for your continued contribution to the company, we are happy to see our clients, colleagues and partners here to play golf and just have fun even for a short period of time. Hope to see you all next year,” enthused the top honcho. Would love to see you too – and more often, Sir.
