The beauty boss
Even in a diverse market, growth is feasible if you have a good product, exceptional business idea and right attitude. Take it from the expert, CEO and founder Rhea Anicoche-Tan – the brilliant woman behind the fast-growing skin care brand, BeauteDerm.
“The brand says it all. BeauteDerm’s promise is to make everyone feel beautiful inside and out. Spreading not only beauty but a change of lifestyle, rediscover self-appreciation and regain confidence,” she said.
In 2016, Tan took a big leap of faith, resigned from corporate work and started a home- based distribution business in Angeles City. She launched her own product line, BeauteDerm, selling signature Beauty Set, Ultralite and Papaine Soap, Facial Wash and Bleaching Lotion. Which she later moved to a more accessible location near the main gate of Villa Angela Subdivision Angeles City to reach more customers and accommodate growing number of resellers.
“BeauteDerm offers a wide range of products from face and body skin care, basic cosmetics, body and home fragrances. We give importance to client needs that’s why we offer products that are safe, real and effective both for the skin and the environment. We have no false marketing. We let our client try the product first to become a believer,” Tan added
Seeing the growing interest of the market in beauty and wellness, Tan with her team of chemists and dermatologists are constantly creating own product formulations and new treatments that are distinct yet related with skin care and wellness like CC Crème, Lip and Cheek Tint, Make up Remover and Fragrances; and treatments like Ulthera Hifu, IPL, Acne Facial, Snow White Lase and more products and services are yet to launch this year.
“With a large customer base here and abroad, we cater to both gender between ages of 18 to 70 years old delivering our products not only here in the Philippines but also Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, U.S., Australia, Canada and as far as Europe,” Tan shares.
It was just two years ago when Tan brought her brand outside Pampanga and opened the first BeauteDerm branch in Nueva Ecija. The business expanded tremendously and to date BeauteDerm has 41 branches around the Philippines and one international branch in Lucky Plaza Singapore.
Promotion plays a big role in the success of BeauteDerm, it continually stepped-up its online presence to further promote. As well as traditional marketing methods such as print, radio, and billboard ads are being utilized. But the celebrity endorsements play a much bigger role and creating a mark in the marketing scene. “In the last two years, celebrity and public figures have contributed greatly with our promotional campaign. By personally appreciating the effects, these personalities’ own testimonies have done wonders for the brand, which led to our biggest campaign with Miss Sylvia Sanchez, who was launched as the first official BeauteDerm Ambassador in 2017. Followed by Matt Evans, Carlo Aquino and Arjo Atayde,” she added.
All products are guaranteed FDA approved and awarded as Superbrands.
